With the Lions Rugby Test Series about to kick off, it was awesome to sit down and speak with former Bath, England and Lions player, Matt Perry.
This was a fantastic chat with Matt, who is founder of Transition15, a company which accelerates high performance team dynamics, as he shared his lessons and insights drawing on sport, business and life.
We spoke of many things, including :
- What meeting principle did Sir Clive Woodward teach
- Coaching, and what makes a good coach
- Attitude, commitment and getting outside of your comfort zone
- The importance of luck
- Dealing with pressure
- Of course, it was a great opportunity to talk Lions, including thoughts on who will make the Test team, and series predictions. It was also brilliant to hear Matt's experiences as a Lion, and how he found out he was a Lion and what was it like to play in the same side as Jason Robinson
