From a human perspective, suffering, trial, and persecution are not something we desire to experience. However, this church Jesus addresses in Smyrna were experiencing all of these! Yet Jesus provides them with some wonderful encouragement, and provides the grace needed to be faithful to His plan for their lives. This can be true for us today as well! Join us as we discuss the peace and faithfulness we can experience when we trust in the Lord's plan for us.

Although we can have an opinion on the state of our church, and of our own walk with the Lord, it is ultimately best to hear the "whole truth" from the Lord's perspective. Honesty, spoken in love, is very helpful when we need to be made aware of our blindspots. As the book of Revelation begins, Jesus provides insight into seven churches that we can use as a measuring stick for us as well.
