Über diesen Titel
This week, Debi is joined by Steele Brand, associate professor at Arizona State University.
In 2016, the Arizona Legislature established and funded the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership (SCETL) at ASU aiming to promote the study of Western civilization, American institutions, and free-market philosophy. Professor Brand is one of the professors who teaches in this important program
Debi and Professor Brand discuss the importance of a classical liberal arts education which emphasizes reading historical and original source texts as well as deep analysis and discussion. We cannot preserve Western Civilization if we are not teaching its history and principals to future generations.
Debi and Professor Brand discuss the importance that revolutionary era thinkers and leaders with vastly different backgrounds and belief systems placed on morality, religion and truth.
Finally, they discuss the programs available at ASU as well as the opportunities for the public to take part in lectures and other events.
