Monday, April 11th: In Episode 766 of The Daily Grind, we continue The Gospel According to Ezekiel with Part 6, “Hidden Sin Revealed,” from Ezekiel 8. In a vision, God takes Ezekiel into the temple and reveals what is happening behind closed doors. What should have been the center of worship had become filled with compromise, idols, and divided hearts. Ezekiel sees spiritual leaders secretly offering incense to false gods while believing, “The Lord does not see us.” He also witnesses worship turned upside down as people bow toward the sun with their backs toward the temple of God. The tragedy is not just open rebellion in the world, but hidden compromise among people who still appeared religious on the outside. Ezekiel 8 reminds us that spiritual drift usually happens slowly, through small compromises repeated over time. God exposes what is hidden not to destroy people, but because healing begins in the light. This chapter challenges us to examine the “hidden rooms” of our own hearts and ask whether anything has quietly taken God’s place. More than surface religion, God desires whole-hearted worship and undivided loyalty.
