Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Indiana Weather Podcast — it's Tuesday, February 24th. Step outside right now and that wind will slap you awake. But here's the twist.. By this afternoon, you'll be peeling off layers. Indiana's serving up a 25-degree temperature swing in a single day. Central Indiana starts at 16 degrees. Southwest winds at 12 miles an hour will push you to 41 by afternoon. Tonight, a slight chance of rain and snow after 11 PM as temps hover around 32. Wednesday? Mostly sunny and 47 degrees. Finally feels like we're inching toward spring. Northern Indiana is where winter's digging in its heels. You're at 17 degrees this morning, but wind gusts to 40 miles an hour make it feel like 16 degrees. That's the kind of cold that finds every gap in your jacket. A dusting of snow possible tonight, with lows dropping to 26. Wednesday stays stubborn — only mid-30s. Northeast Indiana matches the north. Windy, with gusts to 35 miles an hour. And a slight chance of snow before 9 AM. Highs today reach just 37 degrees. Another round of light snow tonight, lows near 28. Wednesday warms slightly to 36, but snow chances return late. Southwest Indiana wins the warm lottery. Highs hit 48 today under partly sunny skies, winds gusting to 31 miles an hour. Tonight, lows stay mild at 40 degrees. Wednesday soars to 55 — nearly 20 degrees warmer than the north. Here's your week ahead. Tonight's system brings scattered light snow, mainly north. Wednesday night into Thursday, a stronger disturbance arrives — snow likely north of I-70, up to two inches possible. Then the big flip: Friday and Saturday bring 50s, even 60s in the southwest. Don't pack away the coats yet, though. Snow chances return Sunday and Monday, with highs dropping back to the 30s. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
