Über diesen Titel
After more than 44 years as a service technician and 11 years running my own shop, I've noticed something fascinating-hand-me-down vehicles almost always last longer than cars bought from a random used car lot.
When a vehicle comes from a grandparent, an aunt or uncle, or even a stranger with a story, there's an emotional connection. That connection creates responsibility, pride, and a commitment to maintenance that most people never feel with a disposable purchase.
In this episode, I share the story of the 2008 Nissan rogue that was donated to the Car Connection fleet by a listener whose mother is now in care with dementia-and why that emotional attachment made me determined to save that vehicle.
If you've ever inherited a family car, or owned a vehicle with a story, this episode will hit home.
Share your story-what vehicle did you inherit, and why did it matter to you?
