Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
I want to look back at all the games I played as part of my video game book club series during 2025. I played a total of 5 games to completion, and as is becoming a tradition for this show, I have arranged them from my least favourite to my most favourite now that the year is done. Although I enjoyed every one of them, there certainly was an order to my enjoyment. I was honestly quite surprised overall with the order, but in my heart I kind of knew where some of them would fall in this list eventually. There was a mix of genuine unexpected delight and an unfortunate feeling of overhype that impacted the order for this list, but in all cases, a good amount of fun was to be found.
