From a young age she dreamt of becoming a teacher, driven by a love for working with young children and nurturing their development. Growing up in Perth, her childhood was filled with creative pursuits, particularly poetry and a deep appreciation for literature. Her academic path led her to the University of Western Australia (UWA) where she pursued an Arts degree with a double major in English. Following this she earned a teaching degree from Edith Cowan University, honing her skills to inspire and educate future generations with a strong interest in early childhood development. Family plays a central role in her life, as she shares her journey with a supportive husband, three children and two dogs. Together, they enjoy the enriching experiences of travel, the joy of reading and music and cherished moments with family and friends. Given that the story is based on her Experience with her newborn and the fact that her children have illustrated the book – the pages are literally filled with love and family.
