  • EPI 134: Running at 20 Weeks Pregnant: Rebuilding Endurance + First Mile Struggles
    Feb 18 2026

    Send Me a Text Message

What does it really look like to run at 20 weeks pregnant after taking two weeks off?

This week, I made it “running week.” After focusing on strength training, I returned to running for three consecutive days building from one mile to two miles at a 9:24 pace. But that first mile? A 10:21 struggle.

    In this episode, I’m sharing:

    • The mental battle of restarting running during pregnancy
    • Why the first mile often feels the hardest
    • Research-backed benefits of running while pregnant (when cleared by your provider)
    • How to approach high-impact exercise responsibly in the second trimester

If you’re an active woman navigating pregnancy and wondering whether you can keep running this episode is for you.

Pregnancy isn’t about PRs. It’s about maintaining strength, endurance, and identity.

  • EPI133: I’m Back: What This Season Is Teaching Me About Health, Habits & Letting Go
    Feb 4 2026

    Send Me a Text Message

I haven’t recorded a podcast episode since mid-December, and today I’m sharing why.

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant, and this season has required more from me than I expected physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this episode, I’m opening up about the pause, the pressure I felt to “stay consistent,” and what pregnancy is teaching me about health, habits, and letting go of perfection.

    We talk about:

    • Why taking a pause doesn’t mean quitting
    • How pregnancy has shifted the way I define health
    • Letting go of unrealistic expectations and “shoulds”
    • Why grace creates more consistency than discipline
    • How to stay connected to your habits during low-capacity seasons

If you’ve been feeling behind on your goals, disconnected from your routine, or frustrated that your capacity looks different right now this episode is for you.

This is a reminder that health has seasons. Consistency doesn’t mean intensity. And showing up imperfectly still counts.

I’m grateful to be back, and I’m excited to share more honestly in this season of life.

💛 If this episode resonated with you, share it with a friend who needs encouragement or send me a message and tell me what season you’re in.

  • EPI 132: Understanding Brain Mapping, Neurofeedback, & Emotional Wellness with Lisa Cramer
    Dec 2 2025

    Send Me a Text Message

In this episode, I sit down with Lisa Cramer, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor serving Illinois and Colorado, who specializes in brain mapping (QEEG) and neurofeedback therapy. This conversation opened my eyes to how much our brain activity influences learning, behavior, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and even how we recover from concussions.

Whether you're a mom, an athlete, or someone navigating stress, this episode gives you a clear understanding of how the brain works and how innovative, non-invasive technology can help support healing and better mental health.

✨ What We Talk About in This Episode

🔹 What Is a Brain Map (QEEG)?

Lisa breaks down what a quantitative EEG is, why it matters, and how it’s used to read your brainwave activity similar to how an EKG reads your heart.

🔹 Who Can Benefit from Brain Mapping?

Anyone kids, teens, moms, athletes, older adults.
Her clinic has worked with ages 4 to 87.

🔹 Signs Your Child Might Need a Brain Map

As moms, we always wonder what's “normal” especially with emotions, focus, or school struggles.

One of the biggest signs: your gut feeling. Moms always sense when something is off.

    🔹 How Neurofeedback Works

Lisa breaks this down beautifully and simply

🔹 Anxiety, Depression & the Modern Epidemic

    We dive deep into:

    • Why anxiety has skyrocketed in kids, teens, and adults
    • How social media, comparison culture, and digital overload affect emotional health
    • Why many people have unresolved high-beta “fight or flight” brainwave patterns
    • Why some people never truly heal with therapy alone if the brain is dysregulated

🔹 Brain Changes After Illness or Head Injury

    Lisa explains why things like:

    • COVID
    • Viral infections + high fever
    • Concussions
    • Falls
    • Old sports injuries

    🎧 Listen If You Are…

    • A mom worried about your child’s emotions, meltdowns, or learning
    • An athlete dealing with concussion symptoms
    • Someone who feels “off” and wants clarity
    • A parent overwhelmed by anxiety in your home
    • Interested in non-medication options for mental + emotional wellness
    • Curious about how brain waves connect to your daily life
