On this weeks show I tell the amazing story of Harry Martindale and the ghosts of the roman legion.
Harry claims to have seen the ghosts of the roman legion marching through the walls of York’s Treasurer’s house. Harry's story has become one of the city’s most well-known ghost tales.
Harry Martindale was 18 when he saw the ghostly sight in 1953, while working as an apprentice helping install heating in the cellar of the historic property next to York Minster.
