I intend to address this as follows: (1) The Believers' Waiting - A Look on Our Blessed Hope, (2) The Believers' Walk - Our Sanctification, (3) The Believers' Work - Our Acts of Service, and (4) The Believers' Watch - Our Steadfastness Until the Lord Returns. Today, let us consider The Believer's Watch.

Whenever we start our discussions on the Lord's return, some will always say they have been hearing this for a very long time, indicating the long delay in His coming. Mathew's Gospel deals with the delay of the parousia in two ways: the first is a warning to be watchful, and the second is a warning about preparedness.

Many persons still do not understand the significance of the birth of Jesus. For them, Christmas is about shopping, gifts, the bright lights, family, food, parties, and pleasure.
