It's the very 100 and 37th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This week, we kick off December's theme, "Home for the Holidays: A Month of Home Invasions" with "When a Stranger Calls" from 1979. Directed by Fred Walton and based on his very scary short film "The Sitter". We have a lot of mixed feelings about this movie. We both agree that the first 20 minutes (which is essentially his short film) are amazing, but the subsequent 177 minutes are a bit of a mystery to us as to how the director arrived from that to this? Its still a fun one despite our confusion. Also, sorry this late. Hope you freaks dig it!!! Come get it!

It's the very 100 and 36th episode of Forsaken Cinema Podcast!!! This week, we end this month's theme, "Nom Nom November: A Month of Delicious Cannibal Movies" with the most controversial cannibal movie of all time - "Cannibal Holocaust". Warning: if you've never heard of this movie, or know nothing about it, please read up on it and/or listen to this episode before you do. It is not for casual horror fans. There are REAL on screen animal killings and it is very upsetting. That being said, I have another warning: If you're in love with this movie, be prepared to hear us completely disagree with you. We hate this movie and everything in it and we go pretty hard on it and the director, Rugerro Deodato. We do take a healthy deep dive into a lot of the interesting facts surrounding the movie and its controversy, and it is still a pretty fun and informative episode. But, yeah. Proceed with caution lol. Come get it, ya freaks!!!

It's the very 100 and 35th episode of Forsaken Cinema!!! We’re winding down "Nom Nom November: A Month of Delicious Cannibal Movies" with 2016’s “Raw”. It’s a coming of age tale about what it’s like to be a veterinary student in France…while also discovering that you really like eating people. We have a bit of a hard time digesting this one. Yes, it's quirky and weird and gross - which are the aspects we love in this type of offbeat Indy horror. But there are so many weird character interactions, confusing spots of dialogue, and completely wtf moments that make no sense to us that we ultimately end up going against the grain on this one. But still, it’s a fun episode and we hope you guys dig it. Even you freaks that love this film. Come get it!!

"Nom Nom November: A Month of Delicious Cannibal Movies" continues with this week's meal, "Ravenous" from 1999, and we both absolutely ate this one up. We have nothing but good things to say and I even think this course came close to a masterpiece. We discuss the amazing score, how perfectly psychotic Robert Carlysle is, what the actual side effects of eating people are, all of the magical powers of the meat, and Dinty More beef stew (for some reason...I don't really remember). This was a short one, but really fun and we hope you Freaks dig it!!!
