    Rum Social’s gastronomy story is about taking a step away from the daily routine and embarking on a kitchen and cocktail dance. A flow amongst colors, fabrics, textures and sounds of a beachfront island lounge… full of great flavors and fairy tales.

    This is a luxurious tropical dining experience, back-dropped by a revitalizing view of the Laguna Beach, California. The focus was to bring fun colors and textures into a space that would still bring an elevated experience for the dining customer. It was also important for Kenneth Ussenko Design to influence the space with small details of art and photography that was truly a part of their own journey throughout the tropical islands of the world as he was growing up.

    Rum Social is located in a beach town and the design integrates very well because of the tropical vibe with a “Tree-house” bar that takes you away to a Hemingway speakeasy with images and stories of beach life and sea tales. This design concept works so well because this town of Laguna Beach needed another elevated restaurant concept. Kenneth Ussenko Design wanted to bring a different kind of seaside dining experience and from the response of the locals this concept has been embraced very well.

    THE YEAR WAS 1707 In Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, Blue Weber agave was cultivated by jimadors to produce an agave spirit, known today as Tequila.

    As Diego Osorio, our founder's great-great-grandfather, learned about this liquid and transported it in sherry wine barrels to his native Spain, he discovered the liquid aged within this sherry-bathed oak created a smooth and elegant Tequila unlike any other.

    Honoring this rich tradition, our unique process and world class Tequila is created by Master Distillers from Mexico and Spain. In this spirit, Lobos 1707 represents the best of both worlds

    THE LEGEND CONTINUES For almost five centuries, lore of the Osorio Tequila was passed down. Diego Osorio, a descendent of the same name, set out to recreate the recipe, journeying back to Mexico, through Altos de Jalisco and Oaxaca.

    Many jimadors, crafters, and contributors from around the world helped refine the liquid and culminate the brand that is Lobos 1707 – continuing a legacy of extraordinary Tequilas and Mezcal.

    THE LEGACY LIVES ON Within the design of every Lobos 1707 bottle are elements that retell the legend - The Osorio coat of arms composed of wolves, the escutcheon animal, and the Agave Wind Rose Compass representing an adventurous spirit and honoring the brand's Spanish and Mexican heritage.

    A different hue on each bottle evokes the liquid’s origin: Joven’s blue for the Blue Weber agave, Reposado’s rich red Jalisco clay, bronze for Extra Añejo’s blazing sun, a conduit of its ageing, and Mezcal’s black Oaxacan volcanic soil.

    Lobos 1707 is the continuing legacy of many who have shared their passion and perseverance. The only piece of the story left unwritten is yours, and what you choose to bring to the table.

    Certified Wine Educator, Certified Sommelier, American Wine Expert, Director of Education with Culinary Wine InstituteA love of travel, different cultures, world history and wine, is what led me to pursue my passion of all things wine.Moving from California’s Monterey Bay area to Utah in 1998, I began working first at Snowbird, then Deer Valley Resort. This led to many travel opportunities, where I always found myself near wine regions. Upon exploring this fascination for what goes into the bottle a new passion was ignited, and I’ve never looked back. Sharing my love of wine with others has led me to pursue more education, more travel and a more in depth love of the vine and wine.I received my Intro Sommelier with the Court of the Masters and became a Certified Sommelier with International Wine Guild in 2011, followed by Certified Specialist of Wine – CSW in 2015 through the Society of Wine Educators, and in 2018 obtained Certified Wine Educator – CWE, only shared by 443 others in the world, which allows me to teach anywhere on the planet. In June of 2020, during the COVID lockdown I was able to pass the American Wine Expert course with honors!I founded Park City Wine Club in 2012 to bring wine tasting, pairing and fun to our community, showcasing menu items from many local restaurants and tasting wines from all over the world.
