Trump said he wants to ban "large" investors from purchasing single family homes. The idea is that because these investors are buying homes, the price is going too high. This ignores the fact of the large increases in things like property taxes, insurance, labor, and building supplies. This also is not looking at how small the percentage is of single-family homes that institutions are purchasing. They didn't even talk about what is a "large" investor. In Ohio, they had labeled this as any investor that owns 50 or more (which by statistics is still pretty small).
