Valerie currently serves as the co-chair of the DGA’s Women’s Steering Committee and was appointed to the DGA’s Sustainable Future and Special Projects Committees. The upcoming series, “It’s Not Like That” premieres on Amazon Prime Video on 25 January 2026.

It’s an unforgettable ride of the light and dark waves of life, women reclaiming their pleasure, and sharing the inside joke of what it means to be a human. The film premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival where it won the AT&T Untold Stories Award. The film has screened at various film festivals throughout the U.S. and internationally, winning numerous audience awards and a Grand Jury Best Feature award. “Honeyjoon” will be at the Palm Springs International Film Festival at the beginning of 2026.

Hadar embarks on a reckoning with the mythologies of her youth and confronts the romanticized stories of her grandparents who were settlers of Palestine in the 1930s. Hadar's journey is woven with other artistic portrayals from Jewish, Israeli, and Palestinian dancers in New York City.

    In their conversation, Tatyana, Brighid, and Morgan discuss the film's construction from the earliest days of production through the editing process, the threads of the film along with Hadar's evolving story, and how their philosophies of documentary filmmaking translate in "Everything You Have Is Yours."
