For his third session, Dr. Shaddix encouraged his audience with tools to persevere in calling through 2 Timothy 2.

Are you in a season of feeling like quitting? Giving up?

1. Rely on the resource of grace
   Needed everyday
   A resource through God's Spirit
2. Develop devoted disciple makers
   This is the primary reason we are on the planet
3. Share in suffering for the Gospel
   Denial
   Discipline
   Diligence

For his second session, Dr. Shaddix challenged consider their roles as shepherd if they choose to accept such a calling. He dives into 1 Peter 5.

Summary of Session:
2 Questions:

1. Are you ready for the coming persecution?
2. Who is going to shepherd God's people through the persecution?

Hebrews 13:17 - You'll provide an account of those under your care.

As a shepherd of people's souls, keep these things in mind:

• It's God Flock
• How do we shepherd?
  Superintend them - "look out over"; "get your hands dirty"; not passive
  Not for gain
  Without lording/domineering over them
  Willingly
• Serve like Christ/Symbolize Christ

Finally, make sure you recognize that this season is temporary.

For his first session, Dr. Shaddix challenged those in attendance to truly consider if the calling of ministry is on their lives because it comes at a cost as taught by Jesus in Luke 9:57-62

As you discern a call to ministry, some things to consider:

1. Reputation and resources at stake.
2. Religion is a safe place.
3. Relationships are strong.

Would you like to reconsider? Are you truly feeling a call to ministry? It comes at a cost. Are you willing to pursue the calling no matter the cost?
