Flicker... flicker... buzz...

The fluorescent lights stutter to life above you, casting everything in a sickly green glow that makes your skin look corpse-pale. As the ancient bulbs stabilize their erratic dance, the corridor slowly reveals itself - an endless tunnel stretching into impenetrable darkness.

The old wooden doors line the hallway like tombstones, their paint peeling and wood splitting with age. The wheelchair at the end sits exactly where they left it, as if its occupant simply... vanished.

From somewhere deep in the shadows, a tinny melody drifts through the air - an old song, crackling and distorted, playing from some forgotten radio or music box. The tune is barely recognizable, warped by time and static, yet hauntingly familiar in the most unsettling way.

Footsteps echo from the void ahead. But whose feet make those sounds? The heavy drag of someone or something shuffling back and forth in the darkness beyond your vision. Each step deliberate, patient as if whatever walks these halls has all the time in eternity.

A decaying wooden ship, ancient and broken—its hull cracked, timber rotting, mast collapsed, and tattered sails gently shifting in the wind.

No name. No flag. No trace of where it came from.

And yet, somehow… it floats.

Those who’ve seen the ship agree on one thing:

When it emerges from the mist, the sea changes.

The waves quiet. The wind turns into a low, mournful moan like someone breathing in the dark.

Sailors believe that if you ever spot it, you must look away.

Let it drift past....

they are just data and the system is executing a purge. The Erasure Protocol has been activated. Within minutes, the entire city will be reset. Everything they ever were will cease to exist.

The city begins to distort. Skyscraper lights flicker erratically. Roads crack and glitch into pixelated voids.

"Do you hear that?" A voice breaks the silence.

🏔️A group of climbers determined to conquer the towering peak amidst the brutal frigid winds, found themselves caught in a deadly storm as they scaled the icy cliffs.

Snowflakes fell steadily swirling around them as the temperature dropped. Suddenly, the ground beneath their feet gave way.

An avalanche struck and the earth beneath them crumbled into a deep chasm.....an eerie trap, as though it had been waiting for lost travelers to fall into its embrace.

Looking up, they could barely see the faint glimmer of light filtering down from the opening above the relentless snow still drifting down in cold haunting flurries. The vast emptiness stretched endlessly filling them with an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and terror.

The walls of the pit covered in snow and ice creaked and groaned as if the very rock was alive, shifting and trembling with distant forces. Occasionally strong gusts of wind would sweep through sending a cascade of snow down into the depths below.

A silent reminder that soon, everything might be buried, lost forever, swallowed by the endless cold.

🎬In the dim glow of the morgue's fluorescent lights, the air hung thick with a sterile chill.

The hospital diener, worked alone..

The silence of the room was broken only by the soft clinking of metal tools and the hum of old machinery giving the room a strange, ominous rhythm.

The body had arrived only hours ago

unclaimed, unidentified.

A young woman her pale skin marred by mysterious bruises lay under the harsh lights.

.

As the diener prepared her instruments

another sound broke the silence

a soft scraping like bare skin sliding against the metal table.

She glanced around the room, frowning.. but saw nothing out of place.

A shiver crept down her spine though she dismissed it as her imagination.

Returning to her work.. behind her, the woman's feet twitched once more a slow deliberate curl that seemed almost unnatural.

A chill brushed her neck and she turned sharply. The body was still, lips frozen in a faint unsettling smile.

When a raspy whisper suddenly broke the silence “Don’t… look away…”

She spun around finding the corpse unchanged. Shadows stretched unnaturally across the floor.

A cold hand gripped her shoulder and the dead woman’s voice murmured mockingly

“You should have kept watching.”

As the shadows consumed her the room fell silent again save for the faint creak of the corpse’s shifting feet.

This ambient soundscape and story take inspiration from The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018) and The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

two films that explore the terrifying events unfolding in the eerie stillness of a morgue.

While both share similar themes of suspense and horror, I have to admit that I prefer AoJD Its gradual build-up and intricate plot pulled me in though I can't deny that PoHG absolutely nailed the chilling atmosphere.

Take a deep breath and step into this cold unsettling world.
