Art Alexakis is the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist who had a tumutulous childhood inspiring a lot of his songs and was known for writing personal songs reflecting how he was abandoned by his father as a child, his brother and girlfriend died of heroin overdoses when he was a preteen, and various other issues with drug abuse, alcoholism and childhood abuse.
