Gypsy Rose Blanchard was a very medically complex handicapped child. Her mother, Dee Dee, was her fulltime caregiver and took Gypsy to countless doctors and specialists.
The Blanchards were media darlings. People loved hearing their story about the single mother caring for her sick child. The world was stunned in 2015, when Dee Dee was found stabbed to death in their home and Gypsy was missing. Panic ensued when people realized they had to work fast to find this poor sick girl because she couldn't survive on her own.
When Gypsy was found everyone's world turned upside down. Nothing was at it seemed. Was Gypsy really sick? Was Dee Dee an actual loving caregiver or was she an abusive monster? Who really killed Dee Dee?
