Über diesen Titel
This episode is a little different.
It comes out of a class project on the Gospel of John, where we were asked to wrestle with a big question:
What does atonement actually mean in John’s Gospel?
We look at Gospel of John 3:1–21, the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, and ask some honest questions. Why does Jesus talk about being “born from above”? Why does John focus on belief and life instead of forgiveness language? And what does it mean for Jesus to be “lifted up”?
Instead of giving easy answers, this episode leans into the tension. Drawing from different interpretive lenses, we explore how John presents salvation not just as something that happens for us, but something that invites us into new life, relationship, and transformation.
Because maybe atonement isn’t just about fixing a problem.
Maybe it’s about stepping into a whole new way of living.
