China had been closed off from Christianity for hundreds of years. Robert Morrison was determined to see that changed. He would venture into the heart of the Dragon, and pave the way for all future generations of missionaries to China. Soon after, the First Opium War would force China to open up to the outside world, beginning a golden age for Chinese missions.
