Starring a cavalcade of people that would become the heirs to the heights of Hollywood and featuring perhaps both Joaquin Phoenix and the late great, sorely missed Philip Seymour Hoffman's greatest performances, The Master stands as a beautiful, brilliantly performed, surreally hilarious monument.
