  • Dr. Shelley Ann Burke-Nurse - The Unsung Heros

    Dr. Shelley Ann Pamela Burke, DNP, MSN, RN, CPN is a Registered Nurse who holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Born in South America.

    Dr. Burke has lived most of her life in the United States. As faculty at UCI, her focus is on children’s health, women’s issues, and global nursing. Her first global nursing initiative launches in her native country of Guyana. Having worked in multiple hospitals, academia, and as a travel nurse, Dr. Burke has built a vast 40-year career in healthcare.

    She brings this valuable experience to her first book, The Unsung Heroes: Nurses. Dr. Burke is also a wife and mother, and she resides in California.

He is heard weekly on The Hour of Lateral Thinking podcast.
