In the latest episode, Alex and Rob are joined by a slightly exhausted CarcinogenSDA - right of the back of a massive no damage run in the RE3 Remakes hardest mode!
Carci's history of challenge gameplay dominates the early conversation, looking into the history of his interest in making his way through the various franchise titles and how that begun.
Eventually though its time to talk the main topic, the Resident Evil 2 remake - or rather more correctly 're-imagining' - and the massive impact it's had on the franchise and again gaming in general as we look into the development gameplay, and release of the groundbreaking modern classic.
Carci's got plenty to say about gameplay design, and we look both forward and backward of the RE2 remake on both the decisions that led Capcom to it, and the ones they're making since it's absolute smashing successful release.
So join us as we talk through all of this and much more on this episode of Complete Global Saturation!
(Please be aware this episode was recorded some weeks back prior to the announcement of Resident Evil Requiem).
We will be taking a break in December, and our next episode number 10 - will be landing in 2 months time on Jan 22nd 2026.
This 12 episode limited podcast series is a follow up to Alex Aniel's book, 'Itchy, Tasty: A Unofficial History of Resident Evil' - which covers the first decade of the series from its origins in the early 1990s through to 2006. The book is available online at the usual retailers, in bookstores, or can be purchased directly from Alex's website - www.cvxfreak.com - which you can also have signed by Alex.
Future episodes will cover other games in the decade or so beyond all in aid of looking into topics Alex will cover for an eventual follow up charting more direct history of the rest of the series, and some special guests will join us from time to time to talk about the series.
Please feel free to subscribe, review, and share - and any questions can be put alongside wherever this is posted and we will try to return to these in a future episode.
