Kevin and Nick try a new theme song. We go through the argument and the beginning of Book One: Jake. Fear in a Handful of Dust. Section I. Bear and Bone.

Kevin and Nick reach the end of "The Drawing of the Three". We meet a "new" character who has been with us all along. Roland starts to feel better and realizes he isn't the last gunslinger anymore. Kevin and Nick also discuss the Afterword and make some predictions for the next book "The Waste Lands".

Roland uses the Mortcypedia to get exactly what he needs. We learn a lot of details about incidental characters. Some pants are peed, some prescriptions are filled. But how is Eddie doing on the beach.

Kevin and Nick (and Roland) continue on into the mind of Jack Mort and travel through the streets of Manhattan. We discuss cab safety and they reach a spot that will hopefully be helpful for Roland.

Nick and Kevin talk about the Tommyknockers for a little while. Then get back into the text. Detta is lying in wait like an ambush predator until the time is right to spring on Eddie. Then we find out what a 'honeypot' is and we discover how strong she is both physically and emotionally. We also mention the D and D alignment chart at the end.

Roland goes through the third door. We meet Jack Mort and boy is he terrible. But we also get to see our favorite boy again, Jake! What's going on here? Kevin and Nick go off on tangents as usual. Time works differently here. Timeline confusion is discussed.

Nick rambles a bit about things that happened in 1987 in the SK trivia because he didn't want to spoil the end of The Drawing of the Three, which with we are nearly finished!

They finally make it to the third door. Eddie does a lot of running. Is it the Lady or the wildcat? Or is it a puma? Tension mounts as Eddie screams for ODETTA! Roland tells Eddie to be on guard.. it's been a long and winding road to the third door.

Eddie and Odetta quickly make there way down the beach, leaving the ailing Roland behind. They share a romantic night under the stars together and finally spot the third door.
