    I am so excited to continue my "Political Determinants of Health" series here on my podcast & for this episode with Amanda Brezzell, the co-founder and CEO of Fennigan's Farms, a Detroit-based farm and sustainable agriculture design team.  Amanda has a background in public health and African American studies, which she has used to start Fennigan's Farms with the goal of making sustainable food options the norm in communities  historically  left out.

    Happy Monday y'all! Im happy to bring you a new episode of Candidly, Caitlyn!

    I am so excited to continue my "Political Determinants of Health" series here on my podcast & for this episode with Carmen de la Rosa.  She is the Council Member-Elect for District 10 in NYC. She grew up here in NYC after immigrating from The Dominican Republic as a baby and currently serves as the NYS Assemblywoman for the 72nd district. We spoke about her background and reasons for going into politics, politician mistrust, co-governance, the pandemic & more!
    While this episode was just an introduction to Carmen, her background & campaign goals, I look forward to having her on my podcast again in the future to talk more in depth about the issues faced in this country & in NYC specifically.
