Camp Pain #024: Fruit Basket Case (Season 1.5 Continues!)

Welcome back to Shimmerlake City—where the sewers smell like profit, the Thieves’ Guild doesn’t hand out memberships easily, and the fruit baskets may or may not be a form of stealth technology.

This week, our heroes split the party (because of course they do). Belleth faces her initiation test from the Thieves’ Guild, tasked with intercepting a mysterious package from the elusive Lord Duvane. Meanwhile, Guldor and Seven venture into the sewers ahead of the city’s grand event, hoping to get the lay of the land—and discovering that “nothing but rats” might have been optimistic.

Between suspiciously specific spells like Detect Bread, misguided attempts to Summon Beavers, and at least one creative use of a fruit basket, chaos reigns supreme as the team navigates deception, danger, and possibly produce-related doom.

• Belleth takes on a Thieves’ Guild trial that could make—or break—her reputation.
• Guldor and Seven uncover what’s really lurking in the tunnels beneath the city.

Camp Pain #023: Wanted "Undead" or Alive (Season 1.5 Continues!) Welcome to Shimmerlake City, where the streets shimmer, the politics simmer… and about a third of the population is technically dead.

This week, our party—Seven, Bellith, Guldor, and TR-33—arrives in the bustling lakeside metropolis, only to find a city split in more ways than one. The wealthy East Side gleams with opulence and pristine towers, while the West Side shows its age—and its skepticism toward the Returned.

Who are the Returned? Well… they’re zombies. But polite ones. Reanimated by divine intervention (or so we’re told), fed, clothed, and welcomed back into society to live among the living. And not everyone’s thrilled about it.

In this episode:

• TR-33 has an unforgettable first encounter with a zombie citizen.
• The group delivers a mysterious letter to a shop called Odds, Ends, & Curiosities.
• They begin the search for Hector Applewater at Sunfire Hall.
• And they learn of a bizarre annual event where the sewers are opened and adventurers compete for 500 gold by hunting down a displacer beast. Seems totally safe.

As tensions rise between the Lathander sects and the city’s rich and poor, our adventurers gear up, gather information, and try to make sense of a city that might just be on the edge of a holy (or unholy) uprising.

Camp Pain #022: “Hollow” Back Girl (Season 1.5 Continues!) The woods are watching—and they don’t like what they see.

Our adventurers place their trust in a mysterious fey named Golana, who leads them into a warped hollow deep in the wilderness. Twisting paths, hidden traps, and echoes of the past haunt their steps. Symbols of Lathander reappear—reminders of the very first mysteries we uncovered.

One by one, visions take hold:

• Bellith dreams of her grandmother, warning her of the Cult of Orcus, revealing whispers of trust and betrayal. Val and her grandfather appear, but what truths do they carry?
• TR-33 sees the origins of the warforged discussed by two men with the blessing of Silvanus. A god’s fallibility is suggested—and a war’s roots exposed.
• Guldor encounters a crowned satyr amid the wreckage of a mining group. A pickaxe marked Thornton Mining Company and a sign pointing to Gnarletooth Badlands offer grim clues.
• Seven watches helplessly as Val is tortured in a dungeon by a gray-skinned creature seeking a wand fragment.

Meanwhile, the s’mores incident is catching up to us. Treants are displeased to say the least! The forest is not amused.

Will the chroma ooze ever be found? Will peace be restored to the wilds? And are our heroes destined to journey onward to Shimmer Lake City… or to something far darker?
