  • Joseph | Facing Temptation/Rebellious Joy
    Jul 13 2026

Ever wonder if God can work in your dysfunctional life? Ever wonder where God is when your life is falling apart? Does your view of life ever seem like nothing is working the way it was supposed to? What if it is, but you just can’t see it yet. What if it’s going exactly how God planned, but his view is simply different than yours. What if God can transform your struggles into something beautiful.

The life of Joseph goes from dreams to slavery, to prison, to ruling…and God was there the whole time. It’s a story that reminds us that at every step… The Lord is with us!

  • Prodigal | Two Lost Sons
    Jun 17 2026

We tend to think about this story as a story of a lost son, a prodigal. The truth is that the crowd listening to Jesus would not have been shocked by the lost prodigal son; they were absolutely shaken by the revelation that the older brother was also lost, religiously lost. This would cause them to consider some hard questions about themselves, and it should do the same for us. Being lost is easy to see; being religiously lost can be much harder to see and even harder to admit.

  • Prodigal | Who is in the Crowd?
    Jun 17 2026

Two groups of people had come to listen to Jesus: “tax collectors and sinners”. The “wild” & the “religious” group. These 2 groups had a radically different response to Jesus. One group wanted his grace but didn’t always want to change. The other wanted his grace but looked down on others who received it. They saw themselves as better. Jesus’s teaching consistently attracted the irreligious while offending the religious people of his day. The preaching/teaching in our church should probably have the same effect. We hold accountability to the “believer” and reveal grace that transforms to the “unbeliever”.

  • Prodigal | Are You Lost?
    Jun 17 2026

There is a HUGE difference between “being lost” and “feeling lost”. It’s dangerous to be lost and know it. It’s deadly to be lost and NOT KNOW IT. This week we will explore how lostness happens, and how things get found. Turns out there is more than one answer to the question of lostness, and more than one way to be found.
