Some of the choices when you're getting started in the home buying process is to buy an existing home, or to buy land and have a house built. As I do this podcast in the spring of 2021, it's still a hot sellers market for the majority of the country. A lot of buyers are getting into bidding wars with other buyers over houses. The price of the home ends up going up higher than the buyer can pay or is comfortable paying.
This can cause buyers to explore the possibility of finding land and having a house built. Whatever your reason is to go looking for land, there are some key points to keep in mind.
