    “There is a black maternal health crisis in the US. Black women deserve to survive childbirth.” I recently saw an influencer wearing a shirt that read that, and it made me think about my own experience giving birth to my daughter. While I knew it would be a challenging day, I never would’ve guessed that a lazy mistake by my midwife would have almost cost my daughters life and put my life in danger as well. Today I’m sharing my story.
