Host Minal Bopaiah is a seasoned leadership consultant with a Master's in clinical psychology. Her first book EQUITY: How to Design Organizations Where Everyone Thrives helps people see how the system affects their daily life. She's also an avid reader across genres, with a particular fondness for self-help (the good, the bad, the ugly). She started Book Therapy so that she could help more people being pushed to the margins find a way to thrive in difficult circumstances.

  • A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping
    Nov 24 2025

Starting a new job while moving cities and raising a family - Tina is navigating the kind of life transitions that test even the most grounded leaders.

As CEO of a nonprofit media organization, she brings a rare perspective on what it means to lead with values while facing the unique challenges Asian American women encounter in the workplace: invisibility, representation, and the pressure to prove worthiness.

In this Book Therapy conversation, we explore how to maintain joy in mission-driven work, set boundaries that protect what matters, and embrace authentic leadership during times of upheaval.

A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandana and Mother Mary Comes to Me by Arundhati Roy offer unexpected wisdom for finding grounding amid chaos.

  • Fourth Wing
    Nov 10 2025

Perimenopause, chronic pain, shifting body image - Maria is living through changes that healthcare largely ignores and society expects women to navigate silently. In this Book Therapy conversation, we confront the gaps in support for women experiencing these transitions and the toll of constantly measuring ourselves against impossible standards.

How do we rebuild our relationship with our bodies when everything feels like it's shifting? And why does loving ourselves feel so radical in a culture built on perfection?

Reclaiming Body Trust by Hillary Canavy and Dana Sturtevant offers a framework for breaking free from disordered patterns, while Fourth Wing provides the immersive escape we sometimes need. This is a candid dialogue about aging, self-care, and finding compassion for the bodies we inhabit.
