Über diesen Titel
This poem, written by me, was inspired by a Christmas Expressive Arts invitation to choose two songs from a playlist and have the characters from each enter into a dialogue with each other.
Transcript Below:
Deep Within He Lay Suggled, Safe And Warm.
Outside A Cold, Cruel World Awaits The Day He Shall Be Born.
A Booming, Harsh Voice Shouts In Anger.
"Get Rid Of It."
"He Isn't Mine."
"We Aren't Same."
A Bitter, Cold World Exists Outside This Safe Place Within.
One He Fears To Enter, But Vows To Change.
Yet, From That Same Place Comes A Gentle, Warm Touch Caressing Him In A Soft, Loving Embrace.
Still Outside But Closer, A Softer, But Firm, Voice Proclaims...
Be Gone!
"We Don't Need You, Me Or My Son."
Come Little One.
It's Alright Now.
We Are Safe.
He's Left.
We've Won.
That's It Little One.
You've Got This.
Come.
Grow Big, Beautiful, And Strong.
Be All You Were Meant To Be.
Show This World How To Be A Better Place.
A Welcoming And Loving One For You And Me.
