    शास्त्रों से प्राप्त होता है कि लक्ष्मी जी, श्रीनारायण की वक्ष निवासिनी भी गोपी बनने की तपस्या करती हैं । इसी से‌ स्पष्ट होता है कि गोपी भाव कितना श्रेष्ठ है...!!

    किन्तु गौड़ीय वैष्णव के मूल आचार्य गोपी बनने की कामना भी नहीं करते ।

    इसका क्या कारण है ?

    गोपी भाव या मञ्जरी भाव - क्या श्रेष्ठ है ?
