En este episodio, comparto sobre mi libro del año: Castidad, del obispo Erik Varden. Lo leí durante la Cuaresma sin planearlo. Y no, este no es un libro que solo trate sobre el celibato o sobre decir "no" a las cosas. Trata sobre vivir con plenitud, serenidad y libertad. Una elegancia del corazón.

Comparto cómo este libro me ayudó a entender la castidad no como represión, sino como integración. Se trata de poner orden en los sentidos, las emociones y los deseos para que no nos dominen, y eso me lleva a una paz interior y una belleza que no había experimentado antes.

Básicamente, la castidad es para todos. No se trata solo de lo que no haces, sino de vivir libre de posesividad y aprender a amar correctamente. Termino el episodio con una oración para el discernimiento del Papa León, que yo misma he estado rezando últimamente. Espero que este episodio te anime a ver la castidad desde una perspectiva completamente nueva.

In this episode, I talk about my book of the year: Chastity by Bishop Erik Varden. I picked it up during Lent kind of unexpectedly. And no—this isn’t a book just about celibacy or saying “no” to things. It’s about living with wholeness, poise, and freedom. An elegance of the heart.

I share how this book helped me understand chastity not as repression, but as integration. It’s about bringing order to the senses, emotions, and desires so we’re not ruled by them—and that leads to a kind of inner peace and beauty I hadn’t experienced before.

Basically, chastity is for everyone. It’s not just about what you don’t do—it’s about living free from possessiveness and learning how to love rightly. I end the episode with a prayer for discernment from Pope Leo that I’ve been praying myself lately. I hope this episode encourages you to see chastity in a whole new way.

Se siente bien acercarse al calor de una fogata en una noche fresca, pero no te atreverías a tocarla. Sin embargo, el Sagrado Corazón arde en fuego de amor por nosotros y quiere que no solo nos acerquemos a él, sino que ardamos junto con él y propaguemos este fuego al mundo entero. Pero ¿será posible estar demasiado cerca?

La Virgen María nos enseña que, así como la zarza ardiente no se consumió, ella se dejó llevar por el fuego del amor de Dios y no fue destruida, sino que se convirtió en fuente de vida para la humanidad.
