It is important to note that when the author initially wrote this story, it was fiction.  The story evolved around the scenario that a UFO crash survivor developed an implantable microchip to enable humans to become one with the cloud.

As of Sept. 2023, this fiction is now becoming a reality in the ever-growing world of AI.  A company owned by  Elon Musk NeuroLink has received FDA approval to begin human testing on a Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface.  The hope is that this will help  Paralysis Patients.  The study will use a robot to surgically place a brain-computer interface (BCI) implant in a region of the brain that controls the intention to move, Neuralink said, adding that its initial goal is to enable people to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts alone. If successful, this would be a great breakthrough for patients.  However, this is just the beginning of where such a  Brain-Computer Interface will lead to.  Let's hope that it is only for the good of humanity!
