    Feb 16 2026

Next year in 2027, Goderich will celebrate its bi-centennial. In preparation, we’re happy and proud to present The Goderich Chronicles, a limited series on the history of the town and the stories of a few long time residents.

Episode 3 features a lady I've known for a very long time, at least since the 80's but probably longer than that because she's just one of those people that everyone seems to have known ... forever.

A long time employee of the hospital, a photographer, actor, historian, chronic volunteer, lover of life and it turns out, after my marriage a few years ago, a relative of mine!

In this episode we’ll get to know more about Colleen Maguire. We'll have her share some of her wealth of knowledge of our town's history and hopefully, we can shine a light on a few incredible woman from our past.

  • 124. The Goderich Chronicles - E2 - Ken McGee
    Feb 2 2026

Next year in 2027, Goderich will celebrate its bi-centennial. In preparation, we’re happy and proud to present The Goderich Chronicles, a limited series on the history of the town and the stories of a few long time residents.

I remember the car lot on the corner of St Andrew and Hamilton streets when I was a kid.

Founded just down the road on Hamilton street by Reg McGee in 1929, it’s now a long-standing, family-owned dealership, closing in on (well, do the math) a century of service in Huron County.

In this episode, one of Reg’s sons, a guy who sold his first car when he was just 12 years old, who started working there as a boy and eventually took it over and ran McGee Motors for well over five and a half decades.

It's the life and times of Ken McGee and the stories of the McGee family's 5 generation love affair with Goderich.
