To share or not to share, that is the question…

Not to sound too dramatic, but there is a lot of drama around sharing personal stories. A lot of confusion and subjective conflicting opinions.

Sharing personal things makes you relatable and human - so you should share. Sharing personal things makes you unprofessional or “too much”– so you shouldn’t share.

I believe there is power in sharing personal experiences to influence and connect with others. Fun ones, vulnerable ones, random ones. And it will serve you well if you are intentional about when you do this.

In today’s episode, I walk you through the practical 3-step process I use to decide whether or not something is worth sharing openly. So you can be more comfortable sharing your experiences too.

On the agenda:

👉 The benefits of sharing personal stories

👉 How to decide if something is worth sharing

👉 How to share with confidence

🔊 “There is power in sharing the raw, real, vulnerable moments. These tough situations are part of human life. I read this quote somewhere on Instagram: “Someone somewhere has wounds in the exact shape of your words.”. Sharing can help others put words on the experience they are going through and make a difference in their lives. But only if you share from a place of clarity and maturity. When you have processed properly the emotions yourself, and can see what the lessons are.”
