Good morning. Hawaii. I'm Aaron Jolly. That gray blanket overhead? it's actually a cold front that stalled northwest of Kauai and never quite pushed through. Now high pressure is building in from the north, which means our trade winds are waking back up. You'll feel them picking up speed as the day goes on. In the next 24 hours. Right now, you're stepping out into 75 degrees under overcast skies. The good news is those high clouds will slowly thin out as the afternoon wears on. Here's what your island is seeing. On Oahu, expect a mostly cloudy day with a high topping out near 81 degrees. East-northeast winds build to 5 to 12 miles an hour. Tonight, you drop back to 70 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. The Big Island catches the most weather action. Isolated showers linger through late morning before skies stay cloudy with a high of 78 degrees. Tonight brings scattered rain showers and a low around 65 degrees. Keep an umbrella handy if you're heading out this evening. Maui stays dry but breezy. Look for cloudy skies with a high near 81 degrees, but north-northeast winds gust up to 24 miles an hour this afternoon. Tonight cools down to 65 degrees. Looking ahead, trade winds strengthen Monday through Wednesday. That brings classic windward and mauka showers during the overnight and early morning hours. Skies clear up significantly by Tuesday. Then Thursday into the weekend, winds ease and shift more east-southeast. Shower activity stays limited throughout, with highs holding steady near 81 to 83 degrees. We're gaining over a minute of daylight each day now. Sunrise hit 6:52 this morning, with sunset at 6:37 this evening. The spring equinox is just 18 days away.
