So what's going on? A frontal boundary pushed south yesterday and ran out of gas. It's just sitting over South Florida now, acting like a moisture magnet. That means scattered storms fire up after 7 A.M. Down in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. They peak around midday. You're looking at a quarter inch of rain, maybe less. Nothing dramatic, but keep the umbrella handy. Meanwhile, the rest of the state? High pressure is running the show. Sunshine and easy breezes. North Florida climbs into the low 70s. Central Florida pushes the upper 70s. Tampa Bay and South Florida flirt with the low 80s. Tonight, inland spots cool to the 50s. The coast holds in the low 60s. Quick safety note.
