Good afternoon. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks, we've a slow-moving boundary slicing through the state today. and it's acting like a divider between two different worlds. South of this front, you're dealing with tropical moisture and highs near 80 degrees. North of it? You're sitting in the 60s with dry air. That front is dragging its heels as it drifts offshore, which means the weather you see right now is the weather you keep until it passes. In the next 24 hours. Down in South Florida, you're in the bullseye for energy this afternoon. Highs top out near 80 degrees, but that heat is fueling scattered showers and thunderstorms. Keep an eye on the sky near Lake Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast — a few storms could pack a punch with gusty winds or small hail. The activity fizzles out this evening as the front finally sags south. You'll wake up to around 70 degrees. Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds, staying warm at 78 degrees. In Central Florida, you're caught in the middle. Expect a high near 74 degrees with a few showers possible. Once that front clears tonight, the drier air moves in. Lows drop to the upper 50s. Sunday looks sunny and pleasant, warming back up to 77 degrees. Up in North Florida, you're already in the clear. Highs hit the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. Tonight, temperatures tumble to around 51 degrees. You might see some patchy fog late, so take it slow if you're driving early. Sunday brings plenty of sunshine with a high near 71 degrees. Looking ahead, the pattern shifts next week. High pressure slides east, setting up a persistent onshore wind flow. That pumps moisture back inland, giving us coastal showers each afternoon, mainly in the south. Boaters, watch out — seas build and conditions get choppy by Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite the rain, temperatures climb above normal, with most of us cracking the 80s. Charge those phones and keep the umbrellas handy. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
