Hitting rock bottom in the concrete jungle of Manhattan, investigative journalist Jamie Walker lands the assignment of a lifetime: find the most elusive artist of a generation, who has enthralled the art and fashion world for over a decade.

This assignment is supposed to finally be Jamie's ticket to journalistic fame and fortune. The quest, however, proves to be difficult, as—so far—nobody has managed to discover who the legendary DeVor really is.

As Jamie delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the enigmatic artist, trying to salvage her stagnant career, she risks getting in over her head and losing her heart in the process.

Contains mature themes.

Im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Büchern in diesem Genre waren Entwicklung und Ende nicht von Beginn an vorhersehbar. Dazu ästhetisch, sinnlich, sexy. Und natürlich die beste Sprecherin!

Spannend, unvorhersehbar, sinnlich

The book is a deeply touching and amazingly well written story about two women hopelessly in love that struggle with their own tragedies as well as each others and trying to aid each other as best they can. It calls out corrupted systems, people and the hoplessness one feels when facing them. But it also brings out hope in people banding together to stand up to injustice. I absolutely loved it and listend to all of it, in what was practically one sitting.
And as always, Abby Craden did an outstanding job reading this book.

This is a wonderful story with careful constructed loveable Characters. I could stop listening to the audiobook though. Abby Craden again managed to let the characters come alive with her careful chosen voice for each of the persons in this book. This made an awesome combination and I was sorry when the book ended because it was just beautiful.
