Though to be fair, I haven‘t gotten very far in trying. The performances I tried listening to were physically painful to me, so I stopped listening altogether.
It feels like many roles are simply being read, not acted out. Though some actors managed to give passion and life to their characters, it was not enough for me to enjoy these plays.
I love Shakespeare….
