O tym tytule

Put the kettle on and discover an utterly charming new cozy murder mystery set in a sleepy English seaside town.

Fiona, Sue, and Daisy, three retired ladies who volunteer at the local charity shop, Dogs Need Nice Homes, can't believe their favorite customer is dead.

Eighty-six-year-old Sarah Brown was found murdered in her hallway by her delivery man, a domino clutched in her hand—with a name scratched on it.

When another person is found dead with a domino in their hand, and with the police making no progress, the ladies will need to help unmask a serial killer. At least they have Fiona's scruffy-haired terrier cross to assist them.

With plenty of tea and cake along the way, and despite squabbles with their rivals, the Cats Alliance across the street, the Charity Shop Detective Agency is born.

Fans of The Thursday Murder Club, Janice Hallett, Simon Brett, Ian Moore, and Sarah Yarwood-Lovett will adore this exciting new talent in cozy crime.

Long winded and repetetive (”I am partial”…) dialogues, kind of forced description of mostly flat characters. Storyline was okay but not very uncinventional. Okay for listening while doing other things and not really concentrating.
The reader was better than the story itself.

Okay for

3 unlikely but likeable heroines, and an original plot in a modern setting.
Very entertaining.

Well written, full of British wit, I really enjoyed it and couldn’t help picturing it in my head like a movie! The performance was fantastic, what a talented actress doing all those different voices! Well done! I’ll definitely recommend the book and audiobook!

Delightful, funny

The story of 3 very capable slightly older ladies, who turn to solving a murder in their home town. They have a great sense of humour which makes the story very entertaining.
Looking forward to the next part on the series. Thoroughly recommend the book.

Very entertaining cosy crime

Overall, I enjoyed my time with this audiobook. The characters are likable (even if a little stupid at times) and there were some interesting decelopments. The killer in the end seems a bit silly to me as the reasoning behind the killings is not really explained further / the explanation does not really make sense.
