Each episode seems separate, yet the timing disturbs Clark. Is there a connection? Rainbow Six zeigt auch seinen Schwiegersohn Domingo "Ding" Chavez und erkundet die Abenteuer einer multinationalen Anti-Terror-Einheit, die sie gegründet haben und die als Rainbow bezeichnet wird.
Die CIA-Agenten John Clark und Domingo Chavez schließen sich dem Special Air Service (SAS)-Offizier Alistair Stanley an und bilden eine geheime multinationale Anti-Terror-Einheit namens Rainbow. Die Einheit mit Sitz in England besteht aus einem hochwirksamen Paar von Einsatzgruppen, die sich aus Elitesoldaten aus NATO-Ländern zusammensetzen, und wird durch Nachrichten- und Technologieexperten von MI6, Mossad und FBI ergänzt. Clark ist der kommandierende Offizier, während Chavez eine der beiden Truppen anführt.
In ihre Einsatze geht diese Einheit gegen Terroristen und Geiselnamen vor.
Clark und Chavez werden misstrauisch wenn der Anzahl von Terroristische übergriffe Stark zunimmt. Was die noch nicht wissen ist das dies Teil ist von einen Masterplan.
Mit Einsatz von Hochtechnologische Mitteln (die in 2019 ein wenig altmodisch wirken) wird die Gegenoffensive eingesetzt….
Ein Typischer Clancy Thriller, viel Action, High Tech Waffensysteme und nicht besonders Komplex gestrickte Protagonisten. Genau das was man bei einen Unterhaltungsbuch wie dies will.

Über die eher langweilige Art der amerikanischen Sprecher haben schon andere geschrieben. Leider ist es so. Warum nur? Ein wirkliches Problem wird es aber nur dann wenn der Sprecher kaum absetzt zwischen zwei Absätzen und man manchmal fie Orientierung verliert, weil es mit einem ganz anderen Handlungsstrank weitergeht.
Alles ist es gute Unterhaltung. Wer dieses Genre mag, kommt auf seine Kosten.
Last but not least: Zum ersten Mal bei Audible. de finde ich die Tonqualität phasenweise bescheiden. Da bin ich mir Besseres gewohnt.

The narrator, of course, cannot be blamed for these shortfalls, but his performance did little to improve things. His tone was flat and depicted no degree of theatrics. His pronunciation of the Russian characters' names were pronounced like a true American. And the word vegan, used over and over in the book, he mispronounced every time (saying it like the name Meghan but with a V). Lastly, he would occasionally, but nowhere near consistently or realistically, try to fake elements of the accents of some of the Irish and British characters.
In short, for the 80% of the book that didn't feature people shooting one another, this book was tedious and uncomfortable listening.
