What really worked for me was how distinct the MMCs were—each felt different and brought something unique to the dynamic. The duet narration by Joe Arden, Aaron Sherlock, Liam DiCosimo, and Alexis Paige elevated the entire experience, and I genuinely recommend listening to the audiobook while reading along. Their performances added intensity, emotion, and immersion that made the story even more enjoyable.
Many books in this genre tend to rely solely on smut, trying (and failing) to fill the gaps with weak dialogue or flimsy plot. That wasn’t the case here. The story felt intentional, and honestly, I found myself wishing this had been a full-length novel rather than a novella.
Overall, this was a strong entry for the genre.
