I laughed most of the time while hearing your book, but the last extra chapter broke my heart, as a gamer, ex-(obsessive) wow player (who nearly destroyed his life because of this game) and also a social-akward guy, I agree with you, on everything you mentioned about the gamer gate and feeling day after day more disgusted about our failed sociaty because of the trolls in our closets.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Felicia Day fiel mit zuerst bei Dr Horrible auf und seit dem verfolge ich ihr Wirken mit großer Freude. Sie ist diese Art role model, die ich als junge Frau gern gehabt hätte. Gamer, ein bisschen quirky und weird und immer wieder ermutigend seinen eigenen Weg zu gehen. Ihre Memoiren beschreiben ihre seltsame Kindheit und ihren etwas neurotischen Werdegang und all das wird noch durch ihre Erzälweise und Leseweise immer netter. Empfehlenswert für alle, die sich selbst nicht so ganz wohl in dieser Welt fühlen und die sich mehr im Internet aufhalten als in der sogenannten Realen Welt (TM). Und empfehlenswert für alle, die Felicia Day ohnehin schon lieben.

livre très agréable à écouté, et lu avec talent. Felicia day nous raconte son histoire avec émotion et nous fait voyager dans sa vie. je le recommande à tout le monde, gamer ou pas. son histoire donne des perspectives sur la difficulté de créer quelque chose, mais montre aussi que c'est faisable.

Beneath the quirky exterior there is an awful lot of smugness in almost every sentence. That and the overacted performance made this one of the first audiobooks in years that I couldn't bring myself to finish. I like a lot of Felicia's work but here she comes off a lot less likable than I imagined.
