X Minus One premiered in April 1955 on NBC and ran until January 1958. Like its predecessor series, Dimension X, X Minus One featured stories by the greatest names in modern science fiction: Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Clifford Simak, Robert Bloch, and many more.

This is an old radio audio play (even including a few 1950s commercials), and the sound quality isn't terribly good (low and high frequencies are missing) - if you have problems understanding English over, say, a telephone, you'll have to listen very carefully.

Nevertheless, it's a great SF short story by one of the masters of the art: On an alien world, two human astronauts leave their base for a short mission - out into the a major storm...

... Robert Sheckley (1928-2005) had a very distinct style and a great sense of humour. He also filled his works up to the rim with weird and surprising ideas. If you like Douglas Adams ("Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"), you'll probably enjoy Sheckley, too.
