Über diesen Titel

Northwest Airlines became the first large domestic air carrier to join the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association in 1994, which changed aviation history. They did not do this out of the goodness of their hearts. They did it because of Mike Anderson's efforts to change the culture.

This is at a time when Mike could still be fired for being gay. A time when religions were closing their doors to gay people. A time when Republicans were blurring Biblical law with civil laws through conservative rightwing bigoted hate groups. Mike knew that the unconditional love of God is a love before any condition happens. Mike felt he knew more about love than what his catholic priest and other preachers knew. Mike felt that Jesus came to show us that even by death we can't be separated from God.

The author’s oneness with his God from childhood is shown to help you remember who you are in your relationship and oneness with God. God finally said to Mike: "Stop, we're not going on any further till you accept yourself as being gay. I made you gay. And I love what I made." Mike's concept of a God doesn't make mistakes. Jesus didn't come to save us from an imperfect God who tried to create a perfect human being and couldn't, but then demanded of us to be perfect or face damnation in hell. Jesus didn't come to save us from God's imperfections or what Christians call sin. God gave us experiences to bring forth clarity of who we are in our oneness with God. Sometimes we have to lose what we have to understand our true oneness with God.

When Mike woke up from a three week coma due to a car wreck, he was no longer a human being having a Catholic spiritual experience - he was now a spiritual being having a human experience.

With Mike's story comes clarity of the damaging effects of organized religions on society. Have Christians used the Bible to advance their own views of an inflexible and at times an angry God?
