Rarely write reviews, but I was absolutely hooked right from the beginning listening to this gripping story of yummy mummy Faiza, a woman who gets trapped in a web of lies after her husband loses his job in the City of London and she has to cover up the fact that she has spent all the family‘s savings. Great dramatic tale with a sympathetic, human heroine about the destructive power of money, love, friendship, sense of belonging as well as tackling issues like racism, MeToo in an absorbing but light-hearted plot. Would love to see this to be turned into a mini TV series. And I am also looking forward to the next book by Aliya Ali-Afzal.
