The Jewish holiday of Purim is a celebration similar to Christmas in feeling which happens in late February or March. Every year, the entire Book of Esther is read aloud in synagogues around the world. And as the Children of Israel, either natural-born or adopted (John 1:12), it’s important for all of us to be familiar with this story and why it is so reverently remembered in Judaism.
